PERFORMANCE
The KTM 125 SX is built to have more torque than any 125 cc 2-stroke engine that has come before it. It will continue to lead its class with unstoppable forward momentum. With a total weight of only 39.3 lb and impressive horsepower numbers, this lightweight engine keeps its high-revving nature while putting down the grunt where it counts.
SELECTABLE MAPS
Once again, slicing into the 125 cc class with the leading edge of technology, the KTM 125 SX motorcycle features a map select switch allowing the racer to switch between 2 engine maps.
EFI + POWER VALVE
With EFI, you can ride better. Along with the electronic fuel injection, the KTM 125 SX also has a new power valve. This gives the bike more usable power all the way through the rev range. A better grip comes from more even power.
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION
The 2-stroke KTM SX range gets a new pre-mix, and Electronic Fuel Injection becomes the standard. No more setting up the jets before the race. And with the all-new Keihin EFI and reed valve case design, you can be sure that you’re always putting out the best power, no matter how high you are.
ELECTRIC START
Think about this: You’re seven laps into a great race. When you miss your turn, you get stuck in a deep rut. But don’t worry about it. To take the last flag, all you have to do is press the “start” button. This is what the KTM 125 SX is really like. The days of having to kick-start the bike are over, thanks to a 12.8V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery under the rider’s seat, a new high-quality stator and pickup, and a very strong design.
EASY SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT
Get dialed in! Both ends of the suspension on the KTM SX range can be set up without any tools. It has a brand-new shock absorber design with hand-adjustable dual compression control. This makes it easy for riders to change the settings for high and low speeds in seconds. At the front, the forks are easy to adjust thanks to a single air pressure preload valve and click adjusters for compression and rebound that are easy to reach. We’ll even give you the air pump for free.
ERGONOMICS
The KTM SX and KTM SX-F range feature an entirely new and improved rider triangle, delivering improved knee contact – especially when standing on the pegs – with enhanced gripping surfaces. New plastics work to expel mud buildup in wet, muddy conditions, with a new, flatter seat profile and high grip seat cover providing excellent rider movement and control. The polyamide-reinforced aluminum subframe further improves rider feel and feedback.
MASS CENTRALIZATION
With a major emphasis placed on mass centralization, the KTM 125 SX motorcycle engine is designed to centralize rotating mass for optimal operation with the chassis. This results in a lighter, more nimble handling feel, which, together with more torque and smoother power delivery, make it the most competitive 125 cc motocrosser yet.
