Triumph Thruxton RS engine upgrades include new lightweight, balance shafts, rare earth alternator, low inertia crankshaft, thin-walled engine covers, clutch, magnesium cam cover, new high-compression pistons, revised ports, and cam profile, and secondary air system.
Together, these deliver an unbelievable 20% reduction of inertia and a new Triumph Thruxton engine that revs harder for longer.
With 104 peak HP @ 7,500rpm (8 HP more than the previous Thruxton), the new Triumph Thruxton RS delivers exciting cafe racer performance with more power low down and across the entire rev range.
The peak torque (83 LB-FT @ 4,250rpm) of the Triumph Thruxton RS is now produced 700rpm lower in the rev range, offering an outstanding thrilling ride.
Weight savings were achieved through engine upgrades, including thin-walled engine covers, magnesium cam cover, and a lighter-weight battery.
Triumph Thruxton RS enhanced stopping power with better initial bite, better feel, and better fade characteristics come from a new higher specification brakes setup: Twin 320mm floating Brembo discs, Brembo 4-piston M50 radial monobloc calipers, and Brembo master cylinder.
The Triumph Thruxton RS enjoys a unique premium rear suspension setup, with fully adjustable Öhlins piggyback rear suspension units contributing to that involved and thrilling cafe racer ride.
The Triumph Thruxton RS features new Metzeler Racetec RR tires, which offer incredible grip, high-speed stability, and trajectory precision, and are fitted to lightweight 17” aluminum 32-spoke wheel rims.
The Triumph Thruxton RS’s enhanced three riding modes – Road, Rain, and Sport – can now be changed at the touch of a button to change the throttle response and traction control settings to suit riding positions and rider choice.
Incredible all-new black details and finishes include Öhlins RSU springs, Thruxton side panel, powder-coated engine covers, cam cover and sprocket cover finishes, and sprocket cover with integrated heel guard plus premium black anodized wheels and wheel rims.
